Also, it would be very embarrassing for an article to be published when it has poor grammar. The public is very meticulous. They are very skeptical especially when it comes to the information being handed out to them. It is very natural for them to criticize what they’re reading and who’s writing the article. The public wants to make sure that the article they’re reading is reliable and that the one who wrote it is professional and has good skills. One of the primary criteria of the public is the journalist’s grammar. How will the public trust a journalist isn’t good enough to write a polished article?

One of the criteria that manifest the good skills of a good journalist is his skills in grammar. Having good grammar is one of the bases that employers and readers use in order to test a writer’s skill and in order to see if the journalist’s construction of his story is good. It is important for a journalist to be trained to have good grammar because this will not only help him in writing, it will also help him gain confidence in himself.
